Sometimes things seem just meant to be. A few weeks ago I decided I wanted new wall art for my NYC apartment. I knew what I had in mind. Simple and beautiful prints with either gold or rose gold as the main color. I spent an evening searching the internet and got overwhelmed trying to find exactly what I was looking for, so I closed my computer and put this idea on the back-burner. But then…
Just two days later I got an email out of the blue from Minted, a marketplace of independent artists, asking if I would be interested in checking out their site. So I hopped on over there to peruse and lo-and-behold they have a dedicated collection of foil artwork, aka gold and rose gold prints!! Exactly what I was looking for! How meant to be is that?? So, obviously I wanted to share with you guys this gem of a site! Minted sells collections of artwork, stationary, invitations, cards, textiles and gifts made by artists from around the world. How Minted works is that they allow artists to submit their original creations, then consumers and community members vote for their favorite pieces, and the winners are sold on their site. It’s a cool concept all around.
I chose my favorite pieces from the site and I’ve listed them all here. They’re so pretty it makes me happy to look at them, even just on my computer screen. I love the simplicity of the pieces with gold and rose gold, each set against a pristine white background. This sort of aesthetic is simple, clean and fresh, which is perfect for my little NYC apartment. My apartment is mostly creams and whites, with lilacs, lavenders and purples as my accent colors. So, I chose two more purple accent pieces that I find stunning as well. The purple pieces are feminine and sweet and remind me of spring (which I could use right about now!!). All these prints bring to life exactly what I had been envisioning for my apartment a few weeks back when I was first inspired to bring some more light and beauty to the little place in the big city that I call home. Now it’s decision time and I want your help! Look through my choices and let me know which ones are your favorites.
