There’s nothing like getting your food straight from the source. So, when organicgirl, an organic produce brand, told me that they were branching out and making green juices, I was obviously so down to try them! Green juice coming directly from the produce company itself is pretty smart and doesn’t happen enough. I was already familiar with the organicgirl brand because I always see them in Whole Foods and I always see them in conventional grocery stores too, which is great. They’re bringing organic goodness to people no matter where they grocery shop. (Or “food shop” as native New Yorkers call it.? ) The newly launched juices have finally landed in NYC and they are available now at Fairway Markets, which carry all organicgirl products.
And in addition to the fact that I’m obviously a green juice sorta gal, I’m also so into the shape of these bottles because they are perfect for slipping right into your purse or gym bag when you’re on the go. They’re a little smaller than normal juices at 10 fluid ounces and the shape almost reminds me of a flask! A flask of healthy veggie juice, that is! This week we had a few warmer days and I wanted to go peruse Nolita to check out some of the amazing street art that NYC has to offer, so after breakfast I slipped two organicgirl juices into my bag and off I went. Just a girl and her juice exploring the city. ?
You may have noticed from their bottles that organicgirl is all about emphasizing greens in their juices, instead of fruit. And each organicgirl juice is made to have a different vibe to it. The Lemon Aid juice is refreshing and perfect to enjoy with your breakfast or lunch as a little morning pick-me-up. It’s made with baby spinach, romaine, baby bok choy, pear and lemon. It’s a unique combination that’s so refreshing. It’s definitely one of my favorites! (In fact, I’m drinking it right now as I write this. 🙂 ) Beet Boost made with beets, carrots, baby bok choy, baby spinach, kale and parsley, is meant to give you an energy boost pre-or-post workout or whenever you’re feeling a lull in your day. Hint of Mint is all about spa vibes and rejuvenation. It’s made with cucumber, mint, baby spinach, kale and romaine. And the Kale Rules is for all you committed, serious green juice drinkers out there. It’s made with baby spinach, romaine, celery, lime and basil.
And on top of all the juice deliciousness organicgirl has ventured into salad dressings as well and they offer two vegan ones. I can’t wait to try the pomegranate balsamic. Sounds so good! Keep your eye out for organicgirl juices at a grocery store near you and slip one of these healthy juices into your bag!
