Hi friends!! A few weeks ago I was invited to an event at the Bloomingdale’s flagship store on 59th Street here in NYC. The event was for Juice Beauty, which is a 100% vegan and cruelty-free clean makeup and skincare brand. Pretty cool to see a big department store like Bloomingdale’s hosting an event for a cruelty-free brand like this, right?! After the event I decided to head upstairs to the clothing section and see what vegan-friendly items I could find. I found sooo many great vegan-friendly coats, jackets and other cozy tops!! Made me so happy to see them all. Here are some of the best ones I found:
This sherpa pullover with lime green detailing is so, so soft and now hanging in my closet. 🙂 I just love it and know I’ll be wearing it a bunch this fall and winter. Did you know that the term “shearling” means real wool (from sheep) and “sherpa” means faux shearling? Many people think that since sheep don’t have to die for wool, the animals don’t suffer. But unfortunately that isn’t the case. (Google “Is wool cruel?” if you want to learn more). To keep your closet a little more cruelty-free this year keep an eye out for sherpa products and skip the shearling.
This faux fur/sherpa jacket is also soft as can be and I love the cut of it. It’s definitely more ivory/white looking in person that it looks on their website. My pics are a better representation of what it looks like in person.
We’ve been talking about wool-look (or wool-like) coats on here a lot because it’s one of the top things you guys searched for in my fall/winter posts last year. This one is the perfect camel coat, and it’s wool-free.
I ended up getting this sherpa button up jacket too. It’s so cozy and warm!
Leopard is so in right now and this leopard print sherpa zip up was so cute and totally free of animal products. I’m a fan of the blue detailing here too.
This faux leather blazer is so cool!! I’ve never seen anything like it in faux leather before. And it’s by BLANKNYC which, as you guys have heard me say here before, is one of my favorite brands that makes vegan leather products because everything they make is so soft and such high quality.
This little faux suede moto jacket not only is made from faux suede instead of real suede, but also has a faux shearling collar.
Plaid is also very big this season and this plaid coat is completely wool-free!
And this might not be as cozy as the rest, but I am obsessed with this oversized embellished denim jacket!! It’s so cute and perfect with leggings or joggers. It comes in black too!
