I like the look of wool coats. A lot. But I don’t like the cruelty involved in obtaining wool from sheep and alpacas. And clearly many of you feel the same way because last year the number one fashion item you guys asked for help finding was vegan-friendly, wool-free coats. I found some great ones last year (and it wasn’t easy to find them!), but never found a vegan version of the classic camel style coat that’s been so popular the last couple of years. I love the way those look but I searched high and low and never found one. Until this year rolled around and actually way back in August this perfect oatmeal colored coat caught my eye while I was at Mall of America in Minneapolis with my sister. I checked the label expecting it to be made of wool, but this time it actually wasn’t!! So you better believe I 100% bought this “wool-look” coat all the way back in August when it was still 90 degrees outside. 🙂
I wore it for the first time last night as Pani and I headed out to the Social Tees NYC Stray Pride Fundraiser and got lots of compliments on it!
